Techzo LLC
These terms govern your use of techzo.us and any services you engage Techzo LLC to provide. By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to them.
Techzo LLC provides website design, web development, logo and brand design, illustration, social media design, landing page design, SEO, and related digital services.
The specific scope of any project is set out in a written proposal or statement of work. That document, together with these terms, forms our agreement. Where the two conflict, the project proposal takes precedence.
We quote on a flat rate basis. The price stated in your proposal is the price you pay for the scope described in that proposal.
Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue.
Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately before it is carried out. We will not perform additional billable work without your written approval.
Deposits are non-refundable once design work has begun, as they cover time already committed to your project.
Timelines are stated in your proposal and we work hard to meet them.
Timelines assume you provide required content, feedback, and approvals within the agreed windows. Delays in receiving materials from you will extend the timeline correspondingly. This is by far the most common cause of projects running late, and we will always tell you when it is happening rather than let a deadline slip quietly.
Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds, stated in your proposal.
A revision round means one consolidated set of feedback, reviewed and actioned together. Sending feedback in fragments over several days counts as multiple rounds.
Revisions beyond the included rounds are billed at our standard hourly rate, quoted to you before we proceed.
To keep your project on track you agree to:
On receipt of full payment, ownership of the final deliverables produced specifically for your project transfers to you. That includes the design, the final files, and the completed website.
Until full payment is received, all work remains the property of Techzo LLC.
Some elements are excluded from that transfer because we do not own them either. These include third party themes, plugins, stock imagery, and fonts, which remain subject to their own licences. We will tell you what these are and what licences apply.
Techzo retains the right to display completed work in our portfolio and marketing materials unless you tell us otherwise in writing.
Preliminary concepts, unused designs, and working files remain our property.
You are responsible for ensuring that any text, images, logos, or other material you provide is either owned by you or properly licensed.
You agree to indemnify Techzo against any claim arising from content you supplied.
Projects often involve third party services such as hosting, domain registration, plugins, apps, and payment processors.
These are governed by their own terms and pricing, and are billed to you directly by those providers unless we have agreed otherwise. We are not responsible for outages, price changes, or discontinuation of third party services.
We warrant that the work will be performed with reasonable skill and care and will function as described in your proposal at the time of delivery.
We include 30 days of post-launch support for bugs and defects in work we produced. This covers things that are broken, not new features or design changes.
We do not warrant that a website will be free of all errors, that it will achieve specific search rankings, or that it will produce a specific level of traffic, leads, or revenue. Anyone who promises you otherwise is not being straight with you.
Ongoing maintenance is a separate service with its own terms and pricing. Without a maintenance agreement, we are not responsible for updates, security, backups, or ongoing performance after handover.
Our total liability arising from any project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You may cancel a project at any time in writing.
If you cancel, you are responsible for payment covering work completed up to that point. Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun.
We may cancel a project if payment is more than 30 days overdue, if requested work would be unlawful, or if the working relationship has broken down. In that event you will be invoiced for work completed and provided with the files produced to that point.
Both parties agree to keep confidential any non-public business information shared during the project, and to use it only for the purposes of the project.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
We may update these terms. The version in effect when your project proposal is signed is the version that governs that project.
